It was just the 5.7L but it was enough to understand why they sell like they do. Don’t think I can justify the fuel economy and FCA build quality for a lease but I get it now, that torque is absolutely addicting.

V8s are the greatest. I’ll sacrifice top end and revs for low end torque any day.

Agreed. My dad is on his second Hemi 300C (05, then 12), and those engines are awesome.

If you finally get crossovers and Hemis then I have the perfect car for you:

Oh yeah, I can’t justify it to save my soul but I want it

What do ya mean bad fuel economy? I averaged over 24 mpg in my Charger! It really is addicting. Driving something with a v6 is just a total let down at this point.

The 5.7 is pretty tame compared to the 6.4. The Scat Pack sends all the thoughts of “yeah but...” rushing out of your head as soon as you stomp on the loud pedal.

The “HEMI!!!!!11"s have an old-school muscle car exhaust blat that GM and Ford’s modern engines cannot match.

I came very close to buying an R/T Challenger. Ultimately the aforementioned FCA build quality and the presence of competition swayed me. Best part of those cars is the engine.

I’ve wanted a Durango ever since that gen debuted, even though I have no use for a three-row crossover.
